The City of Zagreb held a working meeting with local partners

The City of Zagreb - coordinator of the European project on volunteers in sport "Work for a cause, serve for sport" held a working meeting with representatives of local partners with whom he signed a Cooperation Agreement.

The topic of the meeting was international research on volunteering in sport, attended by representatives Sports Association of the City of Zagreb, Zagreb Sports Association of Persons with Disabilities, School Sports Organization of the City of Zagreb, Zagreb University Sports Association, Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb and Volunteer Center Zagreb.

Based on the research, which was launched in all partner countries, a report on best practices of existing volunteer programs in sports developed by various sports and volunteer organizations in Europe will be prepared. The report will be the backbone for the development of educational modules for the purpose of training and educating volunteers to participate in the organization of national and international sports events for people with and without disabilities.

In addition to the development of educational modules, during the project, capacity building activities will be held by holding various workshops and round tables, and a manual and guidelines on volunteers for sports will be developed.

All trained and educated volunteers will be part of the developed application - Sports Volunteer Base, which will contribute to better and more efficient implementation of sports events and finding and participating volunteers from all over Europe.
