The athletic arena of the Mladost Sports Park in Zagreb on 16th October hosted the 2nd International Para Athletic Meeting Zagreb Open 2022, which was attended by 110 para athletes from 8 European countries, including Croatia's top para athletes. Croatian para athletes set a total of 11 state records - 4 in the women's category, 7 in the men's category.

The Zagreb Open is the first and currently also the only international sports event of this kind in Croatia. This year it gathered participants from numerous countries as it enables them to achieve norms relevant for the qualification for the World Para Athletics Championships that will be held in Paris in 2023, and for the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris.

Finally, the Para Athletic Meeting was organized perfectly - thanks go to people involved in organization, as well as participants and spectators. We are particularly proud of and grateful for the valuable active engagement of our numerous sports volunteers. Most of them have recently participated in the workshop for volunteers – organized by our project Work for a Cause, Serve for Sport in June.
